WHO AM I
Luca Lacetera was born in Torino of Apulian parents but he only lived there 8 months before the family returned to Apulia. This is the region that he loves and that formed him. Its natural beauty and manifold art forms fascinated him and awoke in him a lively interest which led him to attend a course of restoration of paintings and frescoes.
But what he really wanted to restore was the trulli of the Valle d’Itria, the area he loved best of all. He in fact attended a course to become a “maestro trullaro” (master trullo builder) and carried out admirable work of restoration and rehabilitation on a large group of old trulli in the area around Cisternino.
His love for stone inspired him to begin creating unique artefacts, above all bowls, mortars, fireplaces, lamps, and sconces, all exquisitely and elegantly designed that in some cases look surprisingly light.
